The restoration of the Hall of Remembrance at Yad Vashem will begin soon

The famous Israeli architects who envisioned the Hall of Remembrance wanted it to resemble a mass grave shaped from four elements: concrete, basalt, iron, and void. Every detail was designed to make absence palpable. In keeping with Yad Vashem’s philosophy, the restoration will consist of preservation efforts to restore its original vision and purpose with no alterations.

The restoration of the Hall of Remembrance at Yad Vashem will begin soon, thanks to a notable donation by Mike & Sofia Segal. It is a sacred national and international site of Jewish remembrance since 1961, and our foundation will ensure it maintains its important stature for many years to come.
