Jewish Heritage

The history and culture of the Jewish People are significant factors in the development of Western civilization and its values and principles that have become universal. Learning about Jewish Heritage promotes mutual understanding.

Preserving Jewish heritage and strengthening identity and Peoplehood in Israel, and in the United States is an important area for the Foundation. The legacy of Jewish history, values and culture is a treasure for humanity. The Foundation supports museums, cultural programs and educational efforts in this arena.

Jews make up 0.2% of the global population. In the United States, Jews make up less than 2% of the population. Despite constituting a relatively small percentage of the global population, Jewish individuals and communities have made significant and diverse contributions to various fields throughout history. Jewish communities have a rich cultural and historical heritage that has contributed to various aspects of human civilization. It's also crucial to acknowledge the diversity within the Jewish community, encompassing a wide range of backgrounds, beliefs, and contributions.
Through the funding of new initiatives, culture, museums, and capital projects, Mike and Sofia Segal Foundation is committed to preserving Jewish heritage at home in America and in the State of Israel.
The State of Israel is crucial to the preservation of Jewish heritage, and the global contributions of the Jewish people.
